COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Global Leadership Adventures runs Community Development travel programs for teens who want to broaden their horizons and help to give back to communities in-need.
On a GLA Community Development program, make a difference in your host community and nearby areas through infrastructure improvements, environmental conservation, or whatever is most needed by the community at the time of your arrival.

Learn how human communities and natural ecosystems are intertwined, and how environmental work supports local community development.
Join in and participate in local customs as members of the community share with you their traditions, and make new friends with your peers on-program.

THE INITIATIVE FOR CHILDREN

Lend a hand on infrastructure projects at rural schools and teach English to local schoolchildren. Zipline through the rainforest canopy and on a hike to an incredible waterfall.

SERVICE IN THE SACRED VALLEY

In addition to an epic trek to Machu Picchu, you’ll help Peruvian girls from rural communities gain access to quality education by building new infrastructure for school dormitories, in the Sacred Valley.
